Store Update: A New Chapter for The Truffle

Dear Friends of The Truffle,

We’d like to share an update - and a look ahead - at what’s next for The Truffle.

Over the past few years, operating a specialty food business has become increasingly complex. Rising labor and operating costs, along with the challenges of sourcing and importing exceptional products from abroad, have required us to take a thoughtful look at how we operate and where we focus our energy. These pressures ultimately led us to close our physical storefront in early fall while we continued serving our community in other meaningful ways.

The Truffle remains very much active and evolving.

We continue to fulfill online orders, create our signature platters and gift boxes, and host private events and educational experiences. These areas have remained strong, and they allow us to stay closely connected to customers while adapting to a changing retail landscape.

What We’re Focused on Now

Today, our work is centered on:

- Expanding and refining our product offerings

- Beautiful, made-to-order platters and curated gift boxes

- Catering and private events

- Educational tastings and experiences that deepen understanding of our products and producers

This focus gives us flexibility while ensuring we continue delivering the quality and care you expect from The Truffle.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, we’re excited to place greater emphasis on education and tasting experiences, along with a broader and more dynamic range of products once the store reopens. Whether through guided tastings, classes, or special events, our goal is to create more opportunities to learn, explore, and connect around great food. We are also actively exploring how a future retail presence will fit into this vision. Our next steps will be shaped by how best to serve our customers and support the long-term health of the business.
