June 2026 UPDATES for The Truffle
I've long promised an update, and many of you may have already seen the recent story in @DenverWestword by food editor Antony Bruno (@cookeduncooked).
Today, I'm happy to finally share some good news.
June marked the beginning of a new chapter for The Truffle. After many months of behind-the-scenes work, a longtime Truffle customer and his family have acquired The Truffle Cheese Shop's assets. I couldn't be happier to see the business in the hands of someone who has appreciated what has made The Truffle special for so many years.
I'll be staying on in a creative consulting role to help with the transition and ensure that the spirit of The Truffle carries forward into this exciting next chapter.
We're now focused on bringing retail back while continuing to create the platters you've come to know and love. We're also planning new tastings, classes, and events, along with an expanded selection of exceptional cheeses, specialty foods, and products from local producers.
Even more exciting, we're in late-stage lease negotiations for a new home. If construction and permitting stay on schedule, we're hopeful to reopen in time for the holiday season. The new space will be larger than our previous shop, giving us room to expand our offerings and create a place for Denver's food community to gather once again.
To everyone who has supported The Truffle through this journey—thank you. Your orders, encouragement, and patience have meant more than you know.
We'll be sharing photos of the new space and details about an open house as soon as we can. Until then, thank you for sticking with us. We can't wait to welcome you back.
P.S. - If you need a platter or would like to schedule and event we are here for you.
